  • Terms and Conditions:
    • General - Terms & Conditions apply to all invoices and are not transferable.
    • Applicable taxes are included in the invoice total but will be adjusted as appropriate on final invoices.
    • Shipping charges are not included in the invoice total unless specifically indicated.
    • Expedited delivery services can be utilized with client direction and approval of additional charges and rates.
    • Receipt of payment past the expiration date may require re-estimating at Kinney Custom Signs’ discretion.
    • Prices are predicated upon receiving the total order and are subject to change at Kinney Custom Signs' discretion should the order be less than the entire scope quoted.
    • Kinney Custom Signs products are all provided as custom-produced on a project-specific basis and cannot be returned. Please make sure to review all documentation prior to signing.
    • Kinney Custom Signs is not responsible for damages or lost items during transit. Damaged products must be reported upon receipt along with photo documentation.
    • Fabricated projects and or project materials are subject to a 3% monthly additional fee for warehousing due to client financial or client requested holds.
    • All products must be inspected within 7 days of receipt; claims must be made in writing with photographic support.
    • Discrepancies from supplied drawings and plans, construction, client direction and or survey data may result in additional signs that can require an additional fee at Kinney Custom Signs' discretion. Unused signs cannot be returned or refunded.
  • Financial Warranties
    • Financial terms are per the condition established on the Invoice summary page.
    • Financial Terms are determined per Kinney Custom Signs review and approval.
    • Account status and past due balances may affect Kinney Custom Signs' ability to proceed with fabrication and/or release of shipment.
  • Product or Service Warranties
    • Architectural conditions such as lighting levels, wall colors, and available mounting area may impact a sign’s effectiveness, communication, and code compliance.
    • Issues with fabrication alignment, adhesion, and quality of cut are reviewed at a 12” distance.
    • Visual imperfections of paint, text, and finish must be visible at 36”.
    • Kinney Custom Signs provides signs that meet local, state, and federal codes. Any deviation from any code will be subject to Kinney Custom Signs discretion and require a Waiver of Liability.
  • Permits
    • Permit acquisition and fees are excluded unless specifically identified in the Estimate or Invoice. Variance or other special permitting processes, such as historic district applications if required, is not included in base fee.
    • Required permits will be acquired by Kinney Electric Signs & Installation. Any deviation from any code will be subject to Kinney Custom Signs discretion and require a Waiver of Liability.
  • Installation
    • All installations are conducted by Kinney Electric Signs & Installation (CA #1079461)
    • Installation fees assume site construction to be substantially complete with unencumbered access. Interior installation requires that all wall or other surfaces be finished and require no additional construction or repair.
    • Signs are to be received at the project site without the installation team presence and stored in a secure location.
    • On-site location and facilities to be provided for packaging and crating disposal at no charge to Kinney Custom Signs.
    • Secured room or area to be provided for staging at no charge.
    • Additional site visits or extended time allocation due to incomplete construction or access will require an additional fee to cover mobilization and added work hours.
    • Client must assign an on-site representative and provide contact information, including a mobile phone number, 24-hours before installation. Contact must be available for timely interactions to address field issues. Delays due to their availability may result in additional fees.
    • Signage location changes can only be directed by the client or their designated representative and will require a signature if requested on-site at the time of installation. Any removal and relocations will require additional fees that may include but not be limited to travel, mobilization, patching, reinstallation, and replacement.
    • All utility lines and other obstructions are to be marked by others prior to installation of exterior signs. Fees associated with utility surveys are not included. Location adjustments due to proximity to lines may be required at the time of installation and require client approval.
    • Electrical power to be supplied within 6 feet of all sign locations by others as outlined in drawings. Kinney Electric Signs & Installation will complete the final hook-up at sign locations.
    • Landscaping and hard surface repairs and updates are excluded from scope unless specifically detailed. Ground areas will be returned to a smooth soil raked condition.
    • Earth spoils from sign excavation will be discarded to an on-site designated area.
    • Exterior installation is subject to an additional fee if weather conditions such as snow, rain or winter conditions affect standard installation procedures.
    • Engineering services are not included unless specifically identified in Estimate and Invoice.
    • Exterior installation assumes earth is stable and rock free for sign preparation and installation.
